There’s a natural shift that happens as the week comes to a close.
The pace changes.
The pressure lifts (at least a bit).
And for a moment, we step out of the routine that defines most of our time.
But what we do with that space… is often left undefined.
This is where the idea behind the Weekend Giving Challenge comes in.
It’s a way to reorient from reacting to what’s immediately in front of us to paying closer attention to what actually matters.
Where is there a need?
Where can I be useful?
What is one step I can take that I might not have taken in the middle of a busy week?
This Week’s Giving Challenge: Step Forward
In a recent conversation with Victoria Hearst on You Are What You Give,
one theme stood out in a very practical way:
Giving doesn’t always begin with a plan.
It often begins with a moment. A realization that something needs to be done, and a decision to step forward.
Not because someone asked, but because you recognize that you can play a role.
And that’s where this week’s challenge begins.
What This Might Look Like
It doesn’t have to be large. Just a first step.
It might be:
Reaching out to someone who needs support
Offering help where there isn’t yet a structure
Taking the first step in a situation where others haven’t
A Different Kind of Weekend
Weekends often give us distance from the day-to-day. This is an opportunity to use that distance well. To notice what we might have missed. To act where we might otherwise wait. To step into something that creates real value for someone else.

We’ll continue this next week.
A short challenge.
A simple shift.
A way to step out of routine, and into something more intentional.
